I couldn't drop Napoli and implement the wait for Weiters plan, so this team has a catcher. With the injury to Vlad Guerrero, Napoli could see more playing time at DH, which is both and good and bad for me. It causes more of a sink in avg. but gives Napoli more opportunities to bring in the RBI.
I adopted the strategy of never starting a pitcher pitching at Texas, but Gil Meche, who was a FA earlier last week for some reason, proved me wrong by providing my bench with an absolute gem last night. Last year I didn't really play matchups and just stuck my pitchers in whenever I could. I think I'll go back to that method after his performance.
Again, I just picked up LaRoche, thinking him better than Daniel Murphy, another promising young player, right now. Randy Johnson became Matt Weiters, which is an upgrade I can certainly live with.
Kevin Slowey is having an inexplicable bad start after a good Spring. I dropped him for Chris Volstad, but he pitches today and if he is on I'm grabbing him and dropping Felipe Lopez. Lopez is a great bench player, but my team needs WHIP and ERA help and if Slowey is dialed in he is one of the best pitchers in those categories.

Standings:
1. asn invasion 12 9 3 8.5 9.5 5.5 11 12 8 11.5 90
2. Fighting Gamecocks 10 11 10 12 12 8.5 11 10 2 2 88.5
3. Mac's Mashers 4 4 7.5 10.5 7 10.5 8 11 11 11.5 85
4. sacrifice flyers 11 4 9 1 5 5.5 11 9 10 8 73.5
5. kkkj 9 4 1 8.5 8 5.5 9 4.5 9 7 65.5
5. Brian Griffins 3 9 11 7 9.5 12 3 2 5 4 65.5
7. freebonds 7 12 7.5 5.5 1 2.5 5.5 8 7 9 65
8. YankeeMania 8 6 6 5.5 4 5.5 7 6 4 10 62
9. Ball Busters 5 9 12 3 11 1 1 1 12 6 61
10. Spring Training 6 7 4 3 2 10.5 3 7 6 3 51.5
11. Shag McNasty 1.5 1.5 2 10.5 3 8.5 3 4.5 3 5 42.5
12. wolverines 1.5 1.5 5 3 6 2.5 5.5 3 1 1 30

It's a pretty tight race at the top, but if I can make strides in ERA and WHIP while maintaining a powerful offense, I don't think I can be stopped.
