ESPN League 1 Update: 2 weeks

After drafting, I had decided this team was going to focus on middle relief, and basically punt wins and strikeouts since ESPN doesn't have max innings pitched. The problem with this strategy is that I didn't have enough quality save guys to make up the lost points, or a really effective WHIP and ERA anchor and innings eater to stabilize the team.
Luckily, there was an abundance of good pitching in the FA pool 10 days or so into the season, and while I am still behind in the pitching stats, I believe I have found some diamonds in the rough and can begin to reclaim some points.

Going into tonight's game, I am in 5th place with 58.5 points in this 10 man league. The offense has started out slow, and the pitching stats are still down, but I'm pretty confident in a top 3 finish, which is a lofty goal considering my indecisiveness with the pitching staff. I was able to snag Kevin Gregg off of waivers too, so that should help boost my relief numbers. At the end of the year I will compare the final roster with the opening day roster and determine if picking up starting pitching was in fact the correct option.
